Theory of Plate Tectonics

    Plate Tectonic is the movements of plate on Earth's lithosphere which is the outer side of earth and sphere where we live on. Theory of continental drift by Alfred Wegener come up to show what is happening long time ago. Long time ago, the earth only have one big continent. As time went by, the plate slowly break apart and create seven continent now which is Asia , Antarctica , Europe, North America , South America, Australia and Africa.There have two type of crusts on Earth which is  Oceanic and Continental Crusts .They always moving and cause different geography feature. I agree with the theory of plate tectonics because the change of the earth proved it.

    The first evidence to prove the theory is the way they look.If we put all the continental together, it fits just like a puzzle. For example, South and North American relative to the Africa and Europe. Now the plates move and we live on different continent.Also we can find out the same fossils on different place.

    Actually,fossils proved the theory of plate tectonics too.Long time ago, the animals are live together and can move to other continental easily because the continental are all stick together. Now, we can find many same type of fossils in different continents even the continents are many miles away.

    Convection current is the movement of magma, melted rock. Its in the mantle and makes the plates move. Convergent, divergent and transform boundary. The movement of two plates. convergent boundary is when two plates come together, it created mountains, trench. Divergent boundary is moving away from each other. it create mid-ocean ridge, rift valley. transform boundary move side by side and created earthquake if under water is tsunami. When the magma in the mantle have enough pressure and push up, it created hot spot and volcanoes. 

    Base on the information above, I believe the change of the earth its because of plate tectonics.

I enjoy the most is each section have different activities because you can choose what ever you like.

To collect the photograph and find the location, the name of the photo.

What new skills did you learn from doing this project?
I learn how to make a video with music.

I could have done my work early and take the quiz. because even tough I finish my work, but I still did not take the quiz.

What would you change about this project?
This project is great, no need to change!

Tsunami happens when there’s a violent disturbance deep below the ocean surface, like earthquake and volcanic eruption. Zone that two plate crash is a subduction zone. When oceanic plate and continental plate crash, the heavier oceanic plate slips under the lighter continental one and cause an earthquake.Tsunami is a series of water waves caused by the displacement of a large volume of a body of water.Tsunami waves move a lot of water and carry a lot of energy, so they can travel long distances.
